This is so beautiful! Where is you venue? Are there any colors already used in the venue that would conflict? If not, then this idea is just amazing!
Hey @aliavenue
Our venue is actually my parent's yard/estate. They live in a victorian farmhouse. We will be holding our ceremony down a hill under a large tree that I remember playing under as a kid. We will hold our cocktail hour on their wrap around porch/stone patio, and our reception on their flat lawn. I am fighting the tent (I *love* the way that open air tables look) even though everyone thinks its the best idea to have a tented reception... we'll see if I get my way! Gotta check the farmer's almanac. ;-)
So. No. The decor doesn't conflict at all with the venue, as its just going to be trees, gardens, grass, and an old, pretty, white house.
YAY! I only said that because, at first, I had chosen a similar pallate (because, well, its amazing!) only to find out that the venue had much deeper hues - not exactly the most forethought there... :P Keep me updated as you start to develop the concept so I can enjoy this theme vicariously through you! :)
LOVE IT! especially after reading about your venue! I cannot wait to see pictures of the final product :)
Thanks guys! I hope it comes together like I'm envisioning it! :)
Hi multinational!
I, too, have a very similar dreamy theme to my outdoor SC wedding. Actually, I was just reading your post and I have saved many of the same pictures! Thought you may enjoy looking at my pinterest for some more ideas. When is your date?

I didn't think I was one for a "theme" wedding, and I guess its not really a theme, but more a feel that I'm going for. It occurred to me while I was washing dishes tonight. ;-)
I am a dreamer. This is something my friends and family have always known about me. I'm always coming up with new ideas, projects, next steps. I love langauge and culture and have dedicated my life & career to bridging cultures and building friendships across difference. And in my husband I've finally met my match. He's an even bigger dreamer than me. Its something that friends and family also notice.
Now, as we are planning our wedding, I find myself strongly drawn to pastel colors, pretty lighting, floaty dresses, and it occurred to me that the look I'm pulled towards is "dreamy". It couldn't be more perfect, really.
I'm so happy to have found direction. I in no way want it to be an overpowering theme, but maybe I could find a cute quote about dreams to incorporate some way, find a pretty, dreamy font for our invitations, and the ideas will keep coming, I'm sure.
I love this dreamy engagement shoot (featured many places, here being one of them.
And though we're not having our wedding in a cotton field, or anywhere near the south, I can still draw on it for inspiration.
Here are a few photos I've already collected that seem to have been inspired by this dreamy feel without me even realizing it:
Emanuelle Junqueira gown.
Soft, white cake.
Bedroom-ish furniture. :)
Dreamy lighting.
Sweet, soft flowers.
I'm so excited about this wedding planning breakthrough! Thanks for bearing with me guys! :)
