Dress Alterations

Nope, I’m doing everything I can NOT to have to get alterations including losing weight and wearing a hoop to lift my hem a couple of inches! I paid enough for my dress, why would you want to have to pay for unnecessary alterations if it fits like a dream?

They should be able to give you a fixed price for the bustle, if even they are telling you you don’t need any other alterations then you definitely don’t unless there’s anything about the dress you’re not happy with. Wear the dress with the shoes you’ll be wearing on your wedding day and if the length is ok then no hem needed. I have a mermaid gown with a small train but I’m not having a bustle, it’s not 100% necessary as long as you can walk ok in the dress.
