This is more of a suggestion than a question - I was hit by this like a mack truck, so I am passing on my thoughts. I went to have a bm dress for a friend's wedding altered (a little taken in around the middle, the straps taken up a bit and that was it). The seamstress said it would be about $100.00. Ok, fine. When I went back to try it on once she was done, she told me it was $150! Um, that's 50% MORE than what she told me. Ladies, please make sure you get that price in writing beforehand. She is just a seamstress doing it on her own, not working for a company but she is recommended by the store I bought my dress from. I didn't think it would be an issue, but she wouldn't back down on the 50% price hike. When I asked why, she said 'it just was.'
