- Wedding: October 2007 - a beautiful church and hotel reception
I have a friend who got engaged back in LA, and she’s looking for someone who’s great at dress alterations. Just basic hemming and added support.
Can anyone recommend someone?? Thanks!

I’m looking for one, too! But more than just some basic hemming – maybe take it in a size or two.
I’ll let you know if I find one!

Do you think you’d get more hits on this from the Los Angeles area board? If so, we could post it there!

Whatever you do, DO NOT go to Uniquely Yours in Northridge. Carmela stepped on the dress with her dirty sneakers FOUR times, lost beads off the dress, and chopped off the bottom of the dress without asking – all during the quote!
I’d advise to use a shop, even if it’s more expensive. An individual can do a bad job and still charge you, like this lady did. The extra money is a guarantee that they are held responsible for damage to your dress!
