It is great as is. Very classic and pretty! Don’t touch it!

A “little lift” as in an antebellum-style pick-up in the front (like this but lower)? I just need some help visualizing it.

If so, then I say go ahead! it’s your day, your dress, and your look. It won’t be unflattering, offensive or garish, so most people are likely responding based on personal style preferences.

A possible option would be to have the seamstress put a mini, single-pickup bustle in the front where you’d like the lift (buttons, snaps, or ties). That way, you can lift it or let it out as you please!

I agree with what @MlleFabuleux said. That is a PERFECT compromise! (I can’t spell tonight) ..

FWIW, I like it with the lift and the peek-a-boo (I can’t vote, my work PC hates the bee)

@LiveLoveLaugh2012:  love the dress on you as is 🙂 Maybe if you had a picture of what you want the peekaboo will look like, it might help with visualisation

I don’t think your dress is plain at all, less is more though! You can still wear your cowgirl boots with your dress.
