definitely go through mikaella if you can. it will save you an alterations headache later on.

I assume you’ve tried on other dresses with sweetheart necklines and liked them? If so you should already have an idea of what it will look like on you and I think this dress would look great with a sweetheart! I would definitely have the designer alter the dress so you can be sure it is done properly.

When will you receive the dress.  I too want to wear this dress and liked the sweetheart neckline better.  How much more was the alternation?

Hi Jessica,

I just tried this dress yesterday and loved it.  The store told me they would alter to sweetheart and shorten the dress slightly for $275.  Is that more than Mikaella would charge? The store is in Dundas, Ont, not far from Mississauga.

I think cost aside, it might make more sense to have the shop do it since you are unsure. At least this way you can see how it looks pinned and make sure its to your taste. If you have the manufacturer do it…its done..and you get no say.
