4. Sort of, my I showed my FI a pic of something similar to guage his/her opinion <

I showed him photos of several decoy dresses and the real dress in the same style. He said he liked the style and look of them all, so I went for it 🙂

I’m 6.

It’s both of our second marriage. We had already decided to have a first look. I knew I did not want the big poofy dress. At first I was looking at dresses on my ipad and showing him different ones and wanting to know what he thought. Then showed him my top 3 contenders. After trying on dresses in a shop, I definitely had my fav but was struggling with the cost. Then he asked to see which one it was and asked if I really felt it was the right one, then he said he wanted me to feel my most beautiful on our wedding day and nothing less and that he would pay for it. I burst into tears. He is the most kind, generous, loving man I have ever met. I can’t wait to have him as my husband.

1 & 3: I refuse to let him see it, but he knows from my bitching about my sister and my mom hating my choice that it is plain (I loved the fact that it was plain, they wanted something blingy, I realized that dress shopping alone ROCKED). Do I worry whether he will like it? I, of course, want him to like it but I absolutely know he will. First off, I think if we all showed up in a sheet, our FIs will think we were beautiful. Second, the dress is absolutely me (even my mom and sister think so). He will get that the dress is absolutely me and that will make it even more beautiful/perfect.

I didn’t. I didn’t show it to him explicitly, but it hung in our mutual closet. He saw it when I refused to let it go through the xray scanner at the airport. It was truly no big deal. It’s one thing to see a dress on the hanger, it’s another to see it on the person you love.

I’m not married yet, but I’m saying 1!  I don’t intend to show him as I want it to be a surprise.  He likes what I wear on a daily basis so I trust my judgement enough to buy a wedding dress that we will both like!

He also doesn’t want to know!  I bought a used dress online.  It’s too small, so I put it back in the garment bag and in the box it was shipped in so I can hopefully return it to the seller.  FI came hope from work, saw the box on the table and said “is that the dress?  I can’t see it!  There’s something white showing (it was the garment bag)…I don’t want to have bad luck!”  So I think I don’t need to worry about him peeking.

4! Im stuggling and I still have 14 months. FI does knows I have a champange sash and he just knows my style so he knows it wont be a ball gown. I did struggle a little dress shopping because he gives me some of the best honest oppinions! I would have brought him in a heart beat but he doesnt want to see it! He doesnt even want a first look!

I would say 2! I’m VERY excited about my wedding dress but definitely want him to be surprised. I won’t let him near my computer or phone due to all the pictures of my gown. (Thankfully he doesn’t own a computer or a smart phone and has no idea what pinterest is!). I accidentally spilled the beans and told him I DID buy a gown, but that’s all he knows… It’s hard to keep a secret from your best friend!

1. My DH didn’t want to see the dress before and, as we were married in England and living in France at the time, there was no temptation for him to peek – it was stored at my parents’ house.

We are both pretty classic in our taste and had a church wedding. He knew I would have been uncomfortable in anything too clingy or revealing but other than that he had no clue what I had chosen. In fact the only person who saw the dress in person was my Mum. My sister was my only bridesmaid and was upset she hadn’t been able to come shopping with us so I showed her online.
