Wahoo my dress finally arrived after waiting about 9 months! Thankfully I still like it after all this time. It was ordered to match my height with shoes but I do plan to alter around the stomach and thighs to make it more mermaid-y (once I tone up a bit/closer to August!). Don’t mind the faces I made in the photos, I was trying not too laugh 🙂
I plan on NOT wearing a veil (Sorry mom!) and some type of hair flower instead. I also want to keep my hair down since it’s going to be a pretty casual wedding.

how are you wearing it down? being totally nosy (lol) but some 40s style loose wavy curls would look so awesome with that flower. 🙂

@sunshine_kar: Thanks so much! I am actually going to try doing my hair myself with some brushed out waves for a vintage-y feel (paired with some red lipstick!). Hopefully it works! I might use a different flower since I didn’t buy the $120 wedding store one 🙂 I have a smaller tulle ivory flower but I might make or buy something else depending on my hair trials go.

Thanks so much everyone! I’m not sure yet if I’ll get a mermaid slip to go underneath or not. I gained weight between ordering the dress and mine coming in so I was VERY happy it fit. I can’t say enough about Allure dresses, this one was under $900 with a custom length (which added $100) during a 10% off sale.
