Well month twins,
I had my first alteration appointment and my dress is the wrong colour! Instead of a champagne, it’s ivory. I’m pretty upset about it but I know it’s loo late to correct it so IM Just living with it. The dress is still stunning.
PLUS I like to keep things in perspective, there are children starving in Africa, this is not the end of the world
one more gripe though, it’s too big!!! I wanted to order a size smaller than we did but I was convinced otherwise, should have trusted my instincts!!
anyone else with dress troubles?

Wow, great attitude! I would have had a melt down. I would still ask for a discount since the store ordered the wrong color.

Good for you for not letting this break you down. My dress screw up was my step daughters bridesmaids dress being ordered in the wrong color. Everyone’s dresses are Pewter and they ordered her’s in Mercury. I was able to call and correct it when I noticed the error…but then they ordered the wrong size. Luckily it’s David’s Bridal and they are exchanging it for the next size up. I don’t blame them entirely with the color though, I was kind of indecisive for a while so I may have ordered the wrong color on accident over the phone.

The dress mishap for my wedding was that my flower girl’s dress was supposed to be light ivory, but someone erroneously ordered it in white. The good news is that the bridal salon and the manufacturer moved very quickly to correct the error. We received a more expensive, more elegant dress within a couple of weeks at no additional cost.
Prior posters are right. You do have a great attitude!
As for the dress being too big, it’s probably a case of the salon having to order the size that it did to accommodate one or more measurements, even if all of the other measurements easily would have been accommodated by the smaller size. They order the dress based upon your largest measurement, so most brides have to have some alterations.
