I think you look beautiful in your dress and not at all “hanging out”, but you want to be comfortable on your wedding day, not worried!

Have you thought about just adding some little cap sleeves?  It gets rid of the worry of the dress falling down or anything falling out, and it creates a square neckline that is a little bit more modest.  I would worry about adding sleeves, because in June, that would be hot!  And your arms and shoulders really do look lovely.

Good luck finding the best solution!

I think the dress is lovely on you as it is. But if you feel exposed I would use a soft and luxurious wrap like these.

i agree with photobee about the wrap. that way if you want to have it you can, but it is very easy to put down if you get tired of wearing it, or too hot

There are some shrugs/ boleros which aren’t bulky and would probably be cheaper than adding things to your dress, and will also give you the option of taking it off if you get hot or anything like that. Here is one I found on Etsy:

If you wanted longer sleeves I am sure you could convo any etsy seller to have it custom made, or even put out an alchemy request.

i think ur dress looks nice, it’s classy/simple, totally nice the way it is.  adding jewlry (necklace, bracelet) will make it more wedding glam

@thatelisagirl, That Etsy shrug is divine! I think it is PERFECT for our OP! And, I’m sure it will be more cost-effective than adding lace/illusion pieces or sleeves.

Daniellalys, I sincerely hope you will end up feeling as lovely as you look in your dress!! 🙂

I’m not a huge fan of illusion neck lines and actually think that they tend to draw attention towards the bust, rather than create modesty. I think a chiffon wrap or bolero would be nice, but I agree with Terrapin that capsleeves would look great!

I think the bolero is your best bet. It gives you the modesty/comfort you are looking for and your dress is pretty on its own so if you do decide you are okay with it you can always remove the bolero. A wrap would serve the same purpose but I find them to be a lot more annoying.

I know you said you don’t feel comfortable with it strapless – but it looks awesome! I echo the suggestions to use some kind of wrap so you don’t have to deal with stressing out about sweating in the bolero. Or maybe you can add some very simple straps to make you feel less nervous about popping out…

i like the illusion neckline idea…i tend to feel uncomfortable in a strapless as well and think that it makes my chest and arms look unproportionate, and so when i tried on a dress with an illusion neckline (with two straps as opposed to a halter or a full chested) i felt like it really balanced me out. i didn’t go with the dress, but instead went with one with actual straps and i’m so glad i didn’t go with strapless!

this is what i was thinking for you:

I like it strapless but if it bothers you, I would definetly look into a bolero.  I was considering one for my dress as well.

I think the dress looks really good but if you don’t feel all that comfortable, then I agree with Photobee! it could look really pretty!!
