My dress got completely trashed at my wedding. The bottom edge is caked with dirt & soot, and it continues up the dress till at least mid-shin level, maybe even higher, before it fades to clean white again. I can’t imagine that this can be made like new again? If cleaning is $200 give or take, and the resale value is $300-$400 according to an online calculator I used, it doesn’t seem worth taking the chance on paying for cleaning that doesn’t get it clean.
Has anyone had success getting a VERY dirty dress clean?
i have no desire to just keep the dress in my closet for eternity. If I don’t have it cleaned for resale I will see if Salvation Army wants it as a donation. Maybe someone would buy it there & turn it into a cocktail length dress.
