Hello! I just purchased the Kenneth Winston 1486 dress but the sample I tired on in the store was Ivory and I really wanted White White. I can’t seem to find a picture of the white one anywhere. Have any of you bought or tried on the white and have pictures of it? I need to choose the color in the next couple days but I am so torn on picking a color I have not ever seen.

BlushingBride2015: why do you want white? Ivory looks white, really. True white is hard to photograph and washes most people out.
My ivory dress, sorry the pic is sideways

ivory is white just a different shade. I say if you really want white get the white. I prefer the ivory. Most brides do that why most dresses are in ivory and not white. Why don’t you ask th sales person if they have any white dresses?

If you try on any white dress, it will help with he decision because there is a pretty big difference on your skin tone. If lace is WHITE white, it tends to look cheaper, even on an expensive dress. Silk dresses can never be WHITE white because it’s a natural fiber. If you wore an ivory dress, NO ONE would know it’s ivory because you’re still the lightest one in the room. Just my two cents!

Go with what suits your skin tone. If I wear anything besides true white I look washed out and sick, could never wear ivory!

I could never wear white- it makes me look very sickly. I think there are few people that can pull off a white white dress. Ivory is more flattering, and that is why you will see more ivory samples. I would ask if they have a white sample to show you in the same material, preferable the same designer. Even if it isn’t the same dress, it will give you an idea if that color will work for you. Honestly, the difference is so subtle that no one will notice the ivory isn’t white. I wore an ivory dress and all the men were in white shirts, and no one noticed, and it looks great in pictures.
