Well, I’d planned on wearing a very simple, non-wedding, cotton sun-dress for my wedding. In fact, I’d bought one in the sale at La Redoute for £8 something (here: http://www.laredoute.co.uk/cotton-voile-short-dress-with-adjustable-shosetring-straps.htm?ProductId=324249279&t=1)
My mum had a look and almost cried (and not in a good way) saying that it’s my wedding and even though she can get on board with us wanting simple and casual, I’d always regret getting married in an £8 dress! She knows we’re broke as we’ve both recently graduated university, so our budget is tight, so she’s offered to pay for my dress.
It’s absolutely lovely of her but I’m concerned about my budget. For her wedding 4 years ago (third time) she used one of those websites where you put in your measurements and the dress is shipped over from the USA in around 2 weeks, made to order, for around £150.
I have to be honest, her dress was lovely and it fit perfectly but I didn’t want to go down that route and her budget certainly won’t stretch to designer, probably struggling with high end high street.
Anyway, I did a search on Pinterest for dresss in styles I liked (I love tulle but wanted something still fairly simple and prefeably strapless sheath style) and this popped up. http://www.izidresses.com/sheath-column-halter-chiffon-wedding-dress-wd2000.html?izisrccid=4#desc
I instantly fell in love with it, once I’ve removed the strap, but it’s one of those websites. Are they reputable? What’s the catch?! All the reviews are 5 stars. Will I regret it? We get married in March so I’m not desperate to get it right away and I want to tone myself up a little lose a ton of weight before ordering it!
