I have to confess...I went to try this dress on and I'm not engaged yet! In my defense there has only been one store in my area to have it in stock and I'm afraid I won't be able to try it on if no one keeps a sample anymore! I've been drooling over this dress for months and I had to see if it really was the one.  I'm not buying it just yet, because I don't want to be totally crazy but... IT IS THE ONE! I AM IN LOVE!

It is very pretty dress.  Looks good on you.  Nothing wrong with trying a dress on without being engaged, but I would definitely not purchase one until you're officially engaged and have a date set. New styles may come out that you might love even more, weight gain/loss, and/or doesn't fit your wedding style.

Very beautiful dress and dont feel bad some girls start their planning before they are officially engaged. FI and I picked out our wedding date before we were engaged.

Looks good on you. I really like that lace section in the front!

I did mention something to my Mom about trying on a dress and told me she thought it would be fine (if she told me I was crazy I probably wouldn't have gone).  I would NEVER tell my SO about it though until we were officially engaged.  He knows I want to marry him and he has told me he sees me in his long term future but no need to scare him away haha.

Looks great on you - if you know that's the dress you love, then it doesn't matter that you went to try it on without being engaged first.

I've been tempted on a few occasions to go try on bridal gowns but I've always talked myself out of it as I want that experience to be special and that it will be worth waiting until I have the ring on my finger to do that for the first time.
