    So I originally tried on a dress with my FMIL and FSIL (which another bee identified as Enzoani Casablanca) when I was visiting in the fall:

    I really like the silhouette, but I'm not so crazy about the appliques. I had been trying on A-line before then, but when I got home, this one completely suprised me. I've always had weird issues with clothing. Like, I have a hard time sitting in front of a mirror and picking out all of the things I like about myself, and I am usually really conservative about how I dress, so picking out a wedding dress is a little overwhelming.

    Okay, so today I went shopping with my mom, and I found a dress that looks a lot like the one above, but without all of the distracting lace bits. I couldn't take pictures in the store, but it was Mori Lee 5108 (image borrowed from another bee):

    My mother hated it because of the fabric (it was tulle), but I thought it was beautiful. I like how simple it is, and the added belt was perfect. Very clean, just a little bit of bling. But my mother is such a strong presence, and because I'm funny with clothing, I'm really not sure. I'm getting overwhelmed. I'm not sure what I feel about the fabric now - all of that tulle. Adorable or no? Or does anyone know any similar dresses I could try?

    And, for good measure, a photoshoped imaged of me in the Mori Lee...

    It sounds like you love the tulle dress so I say go for it! Based on your shape in the first pic and the dress in the shopped pic, I think it looks beautiful on you. Go with your gut :)

    i am partial to the enzoani  because, well, its the exact dress i picked. (which means i probably shouldnt read this thread anymore, as most bees will pick it apart and say how they dont like it. which may make me cry. please be nice, ladies!) it doesnt look good on everybody, BUT it looks super amazing on u. like, seriously, it does. the mori lee looks amazing as well. it is just up to u to decide if u like the organza/ruching and lace, or the tulle. i tried on one similar to the mori lee, and i shied away from it because of the sheer number of brides going with that look. just wait and see how many brides prefer it. every designer has a style like that now. so personally, i liked the enzoani because of its uniqueness and the shape it gave me.

    if u dont love the enzoani, its not the one.

    good luck!!

    I love the Mori! I agree with you that it just looks cleaner (less distracting) than the lacey one, but the lace one has a beautiful bottom. However a lot really depends on your venue so take that into consideration :)

    @_Adelaide_:  I am in love with tulle but I am biased because my dress is tulle.  I think the mori lee dress just adds that wow factor.  The lace dress is pretty but just too plain and simple.

    The Enzoani is similar to the Venus Tyanna I picked:

    venus bridal tyanna wedding dresses

    I think it's the most gorgeous dress (originally bought the Mikaella 1406, then had dress regret and bought this one), but it seems most people prefer the tulle. I'm not big on tulle myself as I find lace is such a classy and timeless look, but you have to feel amazing in whatever dress you pick! If the tulle gives you goosebumps, then that's the dress for you. You have a great figure and look so pretty in both.

    Thanks for the feedback, ladies! I think I'll have to go try it again with fly bridesmaids instead of my mom.

    @little_d  I think the dress I tried migh be the Venus dress, not Enzoani... The lace at the bottom's the same as the photo you posted...

    That bee looks incredible in the Mori Lee! She sold it for me. Gorgeous. The Enzoani is just okay...not so memorable and I am not a fan of the skirt. The tulle is precious and you must have looked adorable. :)

    @_Adelaide_:  Don't think you'd go wrong with either. I'm partial to Enzoani too like @BeeG35:  said and it sounds like you're not crazily in love with it so go for the one you love

    The Mori Lee looks incredible! My mom is also very picky and used to almost bully me into picking things she likes over what I like when I was younger. She still tends to do this but I've learned to tune her out and go with what I love and I couldn't be happier :) Go with what makes you feel the best!

    thanks, @ashleyvtaylor82:  I was hoping to have that great mother-daughter moment, and it makes me a little sad to think that it might not happen.

    @Jesswiest:  I think it's beautiful - looking forward to seeing your actual photos of it. Kinda reminds me of the Gemma dress. Not for me, but I'm sure you'll be stunning.

    @Jesswiest:  and there's no where that you can try it on in calgary to assuage your fears in the meantime while the dress is coming in? did you order it through the store or online? I want to try on the 5108 again, but I don't want to waste the girl's time and make me feel guilty, because i'm eventually going to go buy it in oregon (cheaper and no sales tax versus BC's 12%!)...

    @ifheaven

    @blessings

    I haven't bought the 5108 yet. I did try it on with my MOH on Thursday, and she loved it. I wish I would have snuck a picture of the dress done up, but I only got one after the girl started undoing it in the back. But I might just take a break from dress shopping for a bit and focus on other things, since my wedding's still so far away.
