I think it’s a pretty dress but you’re right, it doesn’t do justice to your figure.

Look for a dress that has more structure to it. this does nothing for you

That dress looks very large on you. I think it would involve a fair bit of alterations to get it to fit just right.

@Miss. Meeps: yes I totally agree about the structure.  and something that goes out from the waist would really define your hourglass figure.

I agree as well – it’s a gorgeous dress but you have an even more gorgeous figure and you should definitely show it off a bit more. Not sexy, persay, but something a little more curve-hugging!

This is still beautiful though. 🙂

It’s a pretty dress but I definitely think you could find something better!

Don’t like this. I’d go for a fit and flare style on your figure.

I agree with the above posters somewhat, although with the right alterations I think it would good on you.  It just looks too big frankly.

The one thing I will say is that I don’t think this dress lends itself well to the one shoulder.  It looks unbalanced.  I would put the cap sleeve on the other shoulder as well and leave the flower to be the single “off from center” detail.

The one strap looks really strange on that sort of dress. If you stick with this one, I would suggest removing it. But I agree with PPs- get something that accentuates your figure!

Sorry, I think it is not the most flattering silouette for you.  Something with a drop waist maybe, and I love the sweetheart neckline that the dress has.

I actually really like the style and am looking for something similar (also in Australia), would you mind sharing what dress it is?

Its hard to tell whether it will be flattering on your figure because it looks so big on you. The reason I like the style is because it can be quite flattering around the waist and I am self conscious about my waist and tummy. Having said that, because you have curves you would probably look good in a more fitted style which would enhance your shape and curves more.

I think it looks nice on you, but certainly you can find something that flatters your figure more!  The empire waist tends to just hide things – try on some dresses that hug your body more, if you’re comfortable to give that style a shot!

I think it is a pretty dress, but like some of the other posters, I really don’t think it is showing of your nice figure, like another style of dress would. IMO, this dress should have either two shoulder straps or be strapless. The one strap just looks awkward. Also, the sash should be wider and/or brought down closer to your waist line. There is also a seam that is showing through at the waist that would bug the heck out of me, if I was choosing that dress. If I were you, I would try on a few more styles because I really think you could find something a lot more flattering.

I think its pretty but isn’t as flattering as I would have hoped. Maybe alterations could fix that but really, it doesn’t sound like you are in love with it anyway.
