I have tried on numerous dresses and found that I love vintage lace feel but still like detailed beading. I dreamed of a strapless dress that could also have a lace jacket for the ceremony. I tried the Allure 2700 for the first time yesterday and I finally said yes to the dress… and now I am having doubts about it! I read that it is normal for brides to have initial doubts..I was SO happy yesterday and felt so good, but now I am wondering if it just doesn’t have very much “Wow” to it. I am also unsure if I would rather have the ivory/cafe instead of just the ivory which is pretty close to looking more white. I tried on some other amazing dresses with beautiful detailing but just really had it in my mind that I wanted the strapless option for the reception. The dress/jacket I tried on were too big so that might be another part of why I am doubting as I look back through pictures. I am also thinking of having a fancy beaded belt added to it and maybe to the veil as well? ANY advice would be much appreciated! I am already a pretty indecisive gal so this doesn’t surprise me…

I think get rid of the jacket, unless there is a skin issue (more conservative family). You look perfect in that dress. You are the wow factor in the dress, don’t forget. YOU make the whole thing, not the other way around. The dress and you compliment each other, and that is the most important thing. if you think it is lacking WOW, then don’t be afraid to wear some chandelier earrings (diamond chandeliers add instant WOW!). However, I honestly think that even though it is a simple dress, it is perfect and beautiful.

I LOVE it both ways! How you have it in photo 3 is perfection!

@blushpinkbride: +1 to what both of these ladies said. I love the layers of lace and the beads down the back! With and without the jacket, it looks lovely so stop doubting yourself! You really look fantastic in the dress.

Beautiful!!!! It’s perfect! I think what you are feeling is normal. I had initial doubts, but I think it was more around knowing I was done dress shopping (I love shopping) 🙂

@CarriElle23: I honestly LOVE the dress and you look gorgeous in it!! I love photos 1 and 3. Photo 3 just has the jacket/bolero added, correct? Looks stunning. I also love the belt!

@CarriElle23: Your dress is stunning and you look fabulous in it!! Awesome choice!! Personally I’d go with a cut edge veil – and the sparkly belt is a great addition!

Despite what any of us say, you’ll probably still have doubts, I think it is natural when there are so many choices out there. Regardless, that dress is gorgous!! You body looks terrific in it! I love the lace, the shape, back, buttons, the jacket… it’s all perfect!

I tried on a lace dress and it felt too simple for me also….but yours is incredible! Seriously it is gorgeous on you and I like the first belt. I almost feel that the bolero is too much if you have the belt too…maybe wear the bolero for the ceremony without the belt and wear it strapless with the belt for the reception? Either way don’t regret your choice!

@CarriElle23: Please don’t have doubts, as you really shouldn’t. You look BEAUTIFUL and it’s PERFECT on you, really shows off your slim figure. I say yes for the belt, it looks great with it. Doubts are normal, I think it’s because you’re mind then knows ‘that’s it’ so what if you find a better one. But I think you’ll have a hard time doing so. Welcome to the bee too!

Its very elegant! I do like the lace jacket, both with and without it the dress is georgous. I think once you put some nice earrings on and do your hair, you’ll be a knockout.
