Wear the dress you prefer. If you really had your heart set on the more expensive dress, and it is now affordable and you still love it… wear it. You can try to sell the other dress later on.

@klynne:  dream dress… things happen for a reason. i would take it as a sign, that it was meant to be my dress if it went on sale and was with in budget! 🙂

I assume you could try the dream dress on first? If so then go for it, since your mother is offering to pay for it.

Go for the dream dress and see if you can sell the other one.

@klynne:  it could be too late, depending on how long the dress is going to take to come in. Sometimes it’s three months, sometimes it’s six. Have they told you how long it would take?

i don’t think it’s too late, if you can get the new dress soon.

my dress shop didn’t start on my alterations until 2 months before my wedding.

@klynne:  then it should be no problem. They don’t generally start doing alterations until about three months before the wedding anyway, otherwise they could be dealing with too much change in weight etc.

Drop everything else and nab that dream dress! If you are really fond of the first dress as well, I’d wear it as a reception dress or vice-versa. Otherwise look into selling it.

@SparkleBee11:  I agree! I think it’s a sign that she was meant to wear this dream dress!
