- Wedding: March 2014
My wedding date is April 26, 2014. I picked out a dress (Maggie Sottero Karena Royale), which luckily is a priority gown. I haven’t ordered it yet as I am in the middle of losing weight. I’ve lost 35 lbs since August 21st, and I will most likely lose another 30-50 before the wedding.
Here’s the dilemma: the priority gowns can come in in as little as 3 weeks, IF they happen to have your size in the warehouse. Of course, there is no way of knowing if they will have my size in February or whatever. It’s a total crapshoot. So just to be safe, I need to order the dress now. The problem is I have no idea what size I will be closer to the wedding.
i know bridal gowns can be altered up or down 2 sizes, but anything after that affects the structure of the dress. So do I order the size that I am now and hope for the best on alterations, or do I order a size smaller? Pretty dicey to do that, but I want to be able to wear it haha.
