Well I was down to a final choice of two dresses which after doing a poll on here I’ve managed to choose between but then another dress keeps popping into my head. I don’t know why I’m wobbling so much over making the decision and I’m getting so stressed because the wedding is in 7 months so I should have ordered my dress already! I’m just totally confused with thinking about the choices! Would you go for a dress that is totally you and fits you like a second skin and is really pretty but not particularly a statement dress or would you go for a dress that no one would expect you to wear that has the wow factor but is possibly a love it or hate it dress? Basically would you go for pretty but safe or dramatic but risky?!? I’ve only got a photo of me in the pretty but safe dress and then the model photo of the dramatic but risky dress (which doesn’t look that dramatic or risky in the photo but is much more of a ballgown than the other dress. Also it is actually a matt silk not a shiny fabric like in the picture). The best word I can use to describe how I felt in the dramatic but risky dress is regal but there was an element of feeling like I was dressing up. I loved the pretty but safe dress the first time I tried it and felt slim and feminine and I thought I’d found my dress but when I tried it on again (after trying on the ballgown) I felt a bit underwhelmed. I’m having sleepless nights over this and don’t seem to be getting any nearer to deciding!!
Pretty but safe
Dramatic but risky

i think the safe one looks very beautiful on you.

I think the “pretty but safe” dress is gorgeous on you. I actually find the second dress boring—and a lot less dramatic and romantic than the first.

I think the first one looks more dramatic. It’s beautiful. I think it has an element of being different. The second just sort of looks average to me.

I actually think the second is more boring and simple. The first looks great on you!

i’m currently having the same problem, really struggling to make a decision! they both look lovely, but i’d say go with the one that makes you feel amazing 🙂 Good luck!

I think the first dress is way more dramatic and beautiful than the second, which is kind of boring in my opinion.

First one is more dramatic and pretty on you. Go for that one!

I agree with PPs. The second dress is boring? The first is romantic and ornate. My good friend got married in it and it was spectacular!

The first looks phenomenal on you! It’s detail is dramatic and romantic! Please choose it!!

i think the first dress is much nicer and more dramatic.

I agree….The first one is more of a wow than the second one….

i think the first looks gorgeous on you – i love the flower detail on the skirt! i think it’s actually more interesting than the second one. lace cap sleeves would work really well with it too, if you wanted to change up the look a bit/add an extra dimension? you could have them attached using snap fasteners, and leave them on for the ceremony & remove them later, for the reception?
TBH if a dress makes you feel like you’re playing dress-up, then it really is not ‘you’ and you will more than likely not feel 100% comfortable when wearing it.

I also think the first dress is more “wow”. I would love to see a cathedral veil with this dress. So romantic looking 🙂

I still love the first one!
