I bought my dress in feb 2011. I ordered a size 12 based on my measurements and the fact that the six 14 sample was too large on me. My dress was a bit snug in the hips when i picked it up from the shop but after some diet changes i dropped about 10 lbs and the dress fit perfect. this was 3 months ago. Since then i have switched from the depo shot to pills for bc. i have maintained the same weight but my already large chest (34D) as grown 2″ and is now a (34DD). the top of my dress is now too small . I have a corset back and the modesty panel wont close. I can try having the seamstress move it over and move the snap but when i look at the placement, it doesnt look like enough space to close even with the change.
I’m thinking i need to switch back to the depo shot so i can fit into my dress comfortably. is that crazy?

@eeestrad: No I don’t think it’s crazy at all, as long as you didn’t have any problems on depo. But maybe your seamstress could make a whole new modesty panel if she could get the right material???

It shouldn’t be too difficult for your seamstress to make a new modesty panel. Does the front of the dress still fit right? Would it be possible for you to go off the shot and try something non-hormonal like condoms until the wedding? Maybe taking a break from hormonal birth control would give you the shrinkage you need.
If you need a good dressmaker in LA, I had mine custom made by a fabulous bridal salon that I couldn’t recommend highly enough 🙂

do what you need to do , maybe take a few detox sessions and look at going off the pill as it will make ur bust smaller , or see a seamstress they can work wonders 🙂

Try cutting some (not all!) carbs from your diet and do the 6 small meals. If you are low to no carb now, add 60-80g of carbs to your diet. It’ll force your body into burning more calories during the day. Your body on the pill tries to store more energy because it thinks it’s preggers. Also, drink more water to battle water weight. Your body also stores it because you aren’t getting enough.

GL! I’m sure it will all work out. Better the boobs than anywhere else I guess 🙂
On a side note- That’s weird about the depo…I had the opposite effect. I gained A LOT of weight on the depo. Actually, in general it was a pretty shitty experience for me.
