Try shape wear and to watch your diet. Good luck.  I’m sure it can be fixed.

@springbride23:  Usually there’s room in wedding dresses for them to be let out some. Ask about alterations! 🙂

Have the dress let out, invest in some shapewear, or lose a little weight (if that’s applicable for you)!

I’m sure some seamstress out there will be abel to offer a fix – don’t worry! As for losing weight, I would never encourage it just to do it, but only if you actually really wanted to…if so, I started using one of those apps where you input what you ate for the day and surprisingly, I lost about 5-6 pounds in a little less than 2 months without hardly changing my exercise routine and by just being more aware of what I ate and my snacking habits.  It takes some pretty obssesive-compulsive effort during the day to put in your food (although the database makes it easy – it has almsot EVERY food in there already), but it can be surprisingly informative – and fun! (if your fiance does it with you like mine is doing)

Ask about the alterations for sure, especially since they are free!

@springbride23:  I’d look into alterations, but I’d also wait to do too much altering till closer to your wedding. I don’t mean the week before your wedding of course, but if you’re six months out, you wouldn’t want to have alterations done now and then find that something else needs altered in six months.

And I definitely don’t think that the dress not fitting means you need to lose weight! I bet you’re absolutely right about the sample dress at the salon being a little stretched out. It’s the dress that needs to be altered…not you! 🙂

@springbride23:  Totally understand! I know it’s a horrible feeling. So yes, totally check into it now so you can get some peace of mind. 🙂 Every wedding dress is different when it comes to alterations, so try not to let what you read on the Internet freak you out. Your seamstress will be able to tell you for sure and luckily you have enough time to try to come up with a solution that works! Keep us posted? 🙂

@springbride23:  Glad the alterations lady could fit you right in! I’m sure they’ll have good news for you tonight! (And sorry about thorwing in “losing weight” as an option–But I was hoping you were 5’0″ and losing a dress size means losing like 5lbs or something!)
