Just my opinion, but I think you should get the dress that makes you FEEL the most amazing. It's your day and it's okay to treat yourself a little :)
There are plenty of dresses within your budget. I paid $377 for mine and I had given myself a budget of $800. It was way under it and I totally fell in love with it. There are also a lot of places that are selling their samples right now for half the price. I would suggest taking a look around first before you make your final decision. I tried on roughly 60 dresses and thought I would never get the "This is the one feeling" with a limited budge, but I finally did and was under budget!
Unfortunately, I already HAVE the dress :(
I'm also in city with limited shopping, on an island, with a wedding 4 months away. So...I'm pretty much stuck with this dress. And here in this town, $400 is the cheapest you are going to get for anything, anywhere.
I will just have to make do, and stop daydreaming about other dresses. I must say, when I put it on I do feel really relaly comfortable and "bridal"
Sorry to jack this thread but one of my closest friends and a bridesmaid in my upcoming wedding is a Newfie! :)
@MrsRoyal: I think the dress is beautiful! If you feel like something is missing try dressing it up with jewelry, shoes, or even a sash!
@shannonh32: I have a sash ordered from etsy!
I'm excited :)
Just a moment of weakness. I think no matter what I wear, I will feel like a million bucks. I mean. it's a wedding gown afterall!

Hi Bees;
So...my dress is pretty. It was CHEAP, I got it off the rack for $400 even, which is what I wanted. I REFUSED to spend more then $600 on a dress I will wear once.
The problem is. While I like my dress, while it is pretty and will serve it's purpose, I can't stop daydreaming about wearing that show stopping, slimming, amazing dress. In particular though, I can't stop thinking about the other dresses I tried on. There was one that I loved, but it was $500 more then what I had set my mind on.
I guess I just want to know, is there anyone out there who stuck to thier budget with the dress even though it meant not getting the "perfect" dress?
I should mention, while my dress is pretty, it's not what I expected to be in. It WAS however, one of the only dresses that I got "that bride feeling" in. I have a very similar bolero, like in the pic, but not the exact same one.
