I’ve been dress shopping for what seems like forever, and have narrowed it down to two gorgeous gowns. I really love them both – but they are incredibly different. The first has clean lines, and is very elegant and bridal feeling – looks incredible with a long veil. The second is soft and romantic, and has a gorgeous color, it’s very light and has a “wow” thing to it.
(Something to consider – the dresses are at two different shops. The first one is from an amazing boutique where the service I’ve recieved blows me away. I know I wouldn’t leave her store with my dress without it looking flawless – she is low pressure, extremely knowledgable and meticulous about details. The second dress is from a new store – the service was the absolute WORST I’ve ever experienced – the owner couldn’t answer any questions I had, and left me mid-appointment to help a girl who wondered in off the street to look at hair pieces. I had to get my sister to help me out of the dress she abondened me in! I’m looking ito the first shop to see if they could order the second gown for me, if I decide to go in that direction.)
I would love to hear opinions (having trouble loading a poll)! Let me know what you think. Pictures and dress/designer info below! 🙂
Dress 1 – Justin Alexander, 8659
(I LOVE the buttons down the back – they alternate 3-satin, 1-rhinestone – just the right about of sparkle)
Dress 2 – Sottero & Midgley, Spring 2014 Quincy
(the sample was big, and the lady had no idea how to clip the back – hence, the bagginess in pics, and me holding it on. The color and feel was beautiful.)

FutureLadyL: First of all, I feel it necessary to state the obvious; you have a beautiful shape and I am quite certain any dress you put on would look amazing. With that being said, I personally liek the clean lines and elegance of the first dress. However, you may want to consider which dress goes with the theme and style of your wedding better. If the store you like can’t order the second dress I would recommend to steer clear of the second dress. The last thing a bride needs is added stress as a result of a poorly managed bridal shop. Best of luck to you. 🙂

No contest for me. The Justin Alexander is beautiful! So clean and elegant.
The second one is just a no. Apart from the bad service, it’s not as flattering and the beading and were it hits you on the hips makes you look wider, when clearly you’re very slim.

First dress!! It’s beautiful and has a wow factor even though it’s simple in style.
The second one looks like it makes you look bigger than you are (although it may be bc it wasnt clipped properly). Also I’m not a big fan of dresses where the top is totally different from the bottom.

FutureLadyL: that first one is damn near flawless. you look phenomenal in it. you look great in both, but the second one i think is more expected, and less timeless, than the first. you look so glamorous and sophisticated in the first one.
