We are having a low-key wedding & brunch reception on my grandmothers property. The theme of the day is rustic country. I can’t get the dress below off of my mind but I’m concerned it is too simple. What do you think? Is there any way I could alter it or accessorize it? I was also thinking of wearing it with cowgirl boots… Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

It looks fab! Maybe some sparkly jewelry or a sash? But don’t think it needs much if you’re just having a casual affair.

For the ceremony you describe, it sounds perfect! Me, I’d go a bit more vintage with it–think slingback pumps, pearls, very polished updo–but I could see it working with cowboy boots. 🙂

I think it looks perfect. I would add some sparkly jewelery. I would only do a sash if it’s very thin crystals maybe. I would still do some gorgeous glam jewelry even if you do cowboy boots.

I love the suggestion @UbiCaritas: gave. Your dress is lovely!

i love the dress, but if i were you i would probably wear that dress to the rehearsal dinner or shower, and then pick a slightly more formal dress for the wedding. i do like the idea of adding lots of jewelry to glam it up, though.

Thanks for the feedback! I was also thinking of some kind of sash… What kind (or length) of necklace would work with the neckline? And in case of bad weather… Any ideas on a jacket/shawl/etc. that could work?? Thanks again for your help!!!

I love your dress! It looks perfect on you! It is a bit on the casual side butttt 1. it can definitely look less casual depending on how you accessorise it (although the cowboy boots will probably make it look more casual..). 2. on the ‘theme’ of the wedding. if it is casual and relaxed, then great! go for it!

I like it, and I think it’s perfect for your occasion! I would just dress it up a little bit.

If you’re looking for any other dresses, Modcloth has several short white ones that are a bit more “dressed up.” I think this one is cute too, though! I have ordered from them many times. Their returns are free.

I think if you add a belt/sash OR statement necklace, and some fab shoes (or boots!), that it would look adorable.

It is very cute, but if I’m being totally honest I do think it’s a little too short. Again, just my opinion. But maybe a knee length dress would be a little better?

I love your dress! I think some cute vintage inspired accessories is all you need (a pretty hair comb, perhaps a vintage hair style, soft red lip, etc.) I love the boots idea suggested by the other members!!
