Dress fitting dilemma… Help!

@MrsSweetT:  I would be pissed and definately would contact them about price.  You shouldn’t have to pay for her working on the dress without contacting you, when they stated they would wait until you came back in for measurements. And that this was done without proper measurements as well. Seems very unprofessional. She should have to eat those costs, and then you pay for the normal alteration work that you expected to have to pay for.

holy cow, she’s charging you $200 just to take it in??? Is there no cheaper seamstress around? That is insane.

@MrsSweetT:  I think it’s outrageous that the let it out so much that they are now having to take it in, and charging you for it.

However, brides losing weight after having a fitting is a real issue for seamstresses and I do understand how they need to protect themselves from constantly trying to hit a moving target (a woman losing weight trying to fit a garment perfectly).  If you must keep going to the gym, then compensate for it with healthy calories so you maintain. Or, if you secretly WANT to keep losing weight, accept the fact that your dress will not fit you perfectly.
