Yet another dress fitting today! This time, all of the changes we’ve made to the silhouette are finally finished! We did a mock-up of the 3-point bustle (I HATE bustles, so I wouldn’t like it no matter what type of bustle it was lol). The last major thing we have to do is cut down the back (we are making it lower, it will come down to a point at the top of the first black ribbon). I also forgot my shoes today, which is why it’s so long!
Has anyone else made major changes/basically created a brand new dress?

@s2bmrscook: Beautiful dress! I can’t comment on alterations yet because mine haven’t started.

Thanks ladies! I think (hope) we have all the major stuff done now. We’re ready to make the final/permanent stitches to hold everything in place. Then there are just some minor cosmetic issues to take care of and she’ll be perfect!

@s2bmrscook: I don’t post a lot on the boards, but I saw your dress and my jaw dropped! It’s amazing!!!

So pretty! I love the bold black it’s different and totally amazing.
I am on round 7!! It’s so close and I want it perfect.
I did buy the dress as a sample and it was WAY too big so we needed to take a lot in, fix the sweetheart neckline to fit my body, added a tulle illusion strap.
Yikes – I thought i was a simple bride but this dress has been a production!

@s2bmrscook: i love your dress. it looks amazing on you. the train is beautiful. changing the back will look great. are you wearing a petticoat/slip to fill out the bottom a bit?
did they try different bustles for you? i would suggest that the 3 points need to be much closer together so that you only see the middle one (the side points end up under the middle one).

@mypinkshoes: we played with several different types of bustles and I found this one to be the least offensive choice lol. No petticoat, I want to wear as little as possible under my dress. I’m a girlie girl and I love dresses, but I love comfort more. I can just imagine trying to wrangle a petticoat under my dress. That sounds terrible lol

@s2bmrscook: yeah, i didn’t wear a slip either and i was so comfortable all day. it was a similar cut to yours with similar size train length.
