I have two fittings and one final try-on! I started 5 weeks before the wedding.
I did three fittings, which is standard for the salon where I purchased my dress.
The first one was just measurements and pinning. I scheduled it six weeks before the wedding.
At the second one she had pulled a lot of the dress apart, and pinned it together. I tried it on pinned and she made adjustments wherever necessary. This one was two weeks later, four weeks before the wedding.
At the third fitting, she had sewn most everything back together, and she did a few more alterations and "nips and tucks" to make the dress fit perfectly. She also did my bustle at the third fitting. This one was two weeks after the second appointment, two weeks before the wedding.
I picked up the dress about 3 days before my wedding.
I've done one, and it isn't coming back until the end of October - that's close enough to the date for me. I'll have a final try-on. As long as everything is fitting appropriately, you shouldn't have to have three.

Hi Ladies,
I haven't gone in for my first wedding gown alternation, but wanted to know how many is the average? My friend suggested 3, but that sounds like a lot. My wedding is in November. How soon should i go?
Thanks!
