I’d say wear what you like. If that is a ballgown, then do it! As far as it being a destination wedding, esp on the beach, you might want to consider not having a long train (will gather up a lot of sand as you walk) or no train. I’m assuming if it’s on a beach (or close to) then it’s probably going to be hot – so you might want to take that into consideration when choosing a dress – lighter, flowier fabrics might be more comfortable.

Prettysmile40:  I say wear whatever make you feel beautiful. I have seen brides on the beach in anything from jeans shorts to ballgowns. Wear whatever you invision.

Now to be really helpful, I would go with a silk/satin sheath with a small train something like this minus the slit:

Prettysmile40:  Don’t restrict your search to just wedding dresses. This is a link to white bridesmaids dresses at Nordstrom’s-most of which could be a wedding dress.

also check out Nataya. I think some of their gowns are perfect for a Destination Wedding.

You should wear whatever makes you feel gorgeous, no matter the dress. I’m in my 30s and eloping on the beach so I’ll share my dress with you. Mine will be in blush. I originally picked it for our formal wedding we cancelled, but it fits an elopement too
