I bought my dress at Davids bridal and when I was trying on dresses and for my fittings the dressses always went over my head. On Say Yes to the dress I always see them step into dresses. I have a slip so I do not see how it is possible to step into the dress but I need to in order to not ruin my hair and makeup. Any one else have this issue or advice? My wedding is in a week and going there this week to try on the dress and get it steamed.

Step into the dress and slip at the same time. Like have someone line them up on the ground to just pull over you. Or put the dress on and lift it all the way up below the waist without letting it touch your hair or face and have someone help you into the slip. At your last trial I’m sure you’ll figure it out! The ladies at the bridal shop probably know the best method by now anyway.

Wear the dress over your head, and have your make up done nexr?

Depending on the fit, it might have to go over your head. Mine was so fitted to me that I couldn’t get it over my hips. I had a towel over my face so no make up could get on the dress and about 3 people dropping it over my head from above (with my hands over my head). If you’re careful it shouldn’t be a problem with hair / make up, but just in case maybe leave a few extra minutes to make a quick touch up.

I tried on alot of high end dresses that had the crinoline built in, maybe alot of theirs do.
