Why not get a corset to wear underneath and have the dress altered to the proportions of the corset?
honestly nothing will give you that corset figure but a corset. for most dresses it is fairly easy to add so if you want that look it can be accomplished. if you choose to keep it the way it is have it tailored to the shape you are vs the shape you would ideally like since altering it to a shape you are not will only result in it looking funny on and be uncomfortable
Darn I was hoping I could get that corset look without a corset! lol.

One of my main requirements for my dress as I was searching was a corset back - it does amazing things for my ruler figure! But of course, I fell in love with a dress without this magical corset. The sample I tried on was too big, so I have no idea what it'll look like in my size (I was clipped in but not very snugly).
So, my question it... if altered EXACTLY to my proportions, can it have the same waist-nipping effect as if it had a corset? Or altered to my IDEAL proportions lol? Or would I have to have a lace-up back put in? I don't think the lace-up would match this particular dress... but oh how I love how a corset fits! :)
Some have suggested buying a corset to wear under the dress. I'm not too keen on that since I don't want to be wearing too many layers...hmmm
This is the dress:
Advice/suggestions? :)
