I kind of agree with you about the colour. Adding the embellishments in gold, when they are as detailed as they are on that dress, would be quite expensive and I’m not sure if alterations places would even do it.

May I ask what that dresss is and what your dress budget is?

I think this dress looks fantastic on you – really gorgeous!  But, I feel like what you’re looking for already exists out there, so spend a little more time shopping.

Benay:  i  totally understand where you are coming from…because i went through a similar thing!  i loved lots of dresses but did not like the way too much silver or gold for that matteer, looked near my face.  i felt like it washed me out and didnt look best with my coloring…so i kept searching til i found one that was mostly clear beading and white.  it took me awhile to put my finger on what it was about so many dresses that annoyed me but it was the silver and beading near me face.  i say, if you have time, keep looking, and IF you can not find anything you love as much fit wise, then look into having the beading altered or added to..by the way most designers will actually add or take away beading or change color of it in special orders for an extra charge….andpersonally, i would rather have the designer ship it altered to my liking than have a seamstress try and work their magic.  it is a beautiful dress on you:)!

It is beautiful but there are so many beaded mermaids out there, I bet there is one closer to what you are looking for. And it can never hurt to ask about the designer doing customizations. I liked a beaded dress where I felt that the beading was a little overkill, so the designer customized a dress with less beading, and I was very happy with it.

Benay:  I think for what you will pay to have the changes made, it won’t be worth it.  There are lots of dresses out there with gold embelleshments.  Keep shopping if you’re stuck on gold…though this dress does look great on you!

Definently don’t try and add gold embellishments to this dress! They won’t match and will be expensive. For the budget you have there are many other options!

I love this style, the quality is great!!! The beading is strategically placed “body-contouring” to give the most flattering effect! Other beaded gowns looked awful on me but the watters beading is designed to be slimming… I recently had a change of heart and want to wear a princess gown and will be selling this watters gown (brand new size 2 if anyone is interested 🙂

I voted to buy as is!!!! The beading on this gown is the most flattering!
