@akkaer1:  im having a country themed wedding and chose casablanca 1900. its lace with sparkle and flowy. what do you picture yourself in? i thought i wanted a plain dress that i could wear my chunky turquoise necklaces but it just didnt feel right. you will know when you put it on. πŸ™‚ sorry im not much help but i think illusion backs are so pretty. if i had a pretty back (im plus size) that would be my choice.

What will the weather be like?  I love the idea of a winter barn wedding, and there’s so many ways you can go about this!

I love the idea of a natural waist ball gown with a fuzzy cardigan that nips in at the waist.  Maybe one that wraps like a ballet sweater, and a skirt with a lot of tulle for a big WOW pop.

Oh, well that’s all different!  I was going off your Jan 1, 2015 date by your name…

AND OMG I love Jenny Packham.  I couldn’t find anything similar that looked right on me in my price range, so I ended up with a WTOO lace dress instead.

Although I still think that Jcrew principessa hits all the buttons you want except the bling… πŸ™‚

I am also having a barn wedding πŸ™‚ The best advice I got from my bridal consultant was don’t worry about the venue and matching it. Get the dress that matches YOU. If it does, then you can go anywhere and it’ll go perfectly πŸ™‚

I originally either wanted a lace dress or ivory dress to “fit the venue” but wound up with something completely different because I fell in love and I think it’d go well anywhere!

This is my dress:

@leahlou:  +1… once I stopped trying to fit my venue and trying on dresses outside of that style, I was able to actually fall in LOVE with a gown!

FWIW, I’m getting married in a barn and am going with a White by Vera Wang gown.

I was planning a barn wedding and found what I thought was the perfect dress for that outdoor scene! Unfortunately, I have since called the wedding off but my misfortune could be your gain.  I bought this dress for $1750 and am just asking $1,000 for it if you are interested.  It has everything you were describing- lace overlay, ivory, A-line, and that WOW factor! The back is stunning! It is an Allure Romace dress, style number 2569 and size 8 (I am a size 6 normally).  I fyou are interested just send me a message and I can get you some more details.

Good luck with your search!

@akkaer1: You should definitely check out La Sposa and Pronovias. There are some that are pretty reminiscent of Jenny Packham designs from the 2012/2013 lines (and even earlier):
