If all you need is to have it taken in, that’s easy– it also doesn’t take very long– you’ve got plenty of time.

What area are you in? Maybe someone here can recommend a good tailor?

Okay, first of all, calm down and have a sandwich. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Seriously, if you are stressed, you need to make sure you are taking care of yourself and eating properly. You will enjoy your wedding and everything surrounding it much more if you are strong, healthy and well-rested, so make sure you eat and sleep enough over the next few weeks.

Re. the dress, taking it in a size or two is way easier than letting it out. You will be fine.

How terrifying! Try to stay close to the same weight between now and then…in a healthy way of course.

This is an opportunity to eat lots and lots of cake!! haha. I’m glad to hear you were able to find a seamstress who can have it done quickly.  Like the PPs said: easier to take it in than let it out!

im hoping i wont have this issue -dress is already sent away to be pressed, but was trying on dresses in my closet for my bachloete party and everything is falling off… had stuff that are size 4s, size 6s, sizes 8s and 10s. all  loose. my wedding gown is a 8. and rehearsal dress is a 4. each were altered last month to fit me. so hopefully it does.

Eeek. Sorry you’re still having issues with it. You’ll get it sorted out though. Staying calm is easier said than done though, I know.

you still have time to get it fixed.

i had the same problem.  i got really sick before my wedding and lost a lot of weight.  i went back to ontario where my dress was and tried it on again only a week before my wedding.  they fixed it in a few days but took too much in on my chest, so a couple days later i got it back.  just 2 days before the wedding.
