So during my lunch hour, completely on a whim I went to a local boutique around my job to initially look at some headpieces and to pass the time.
I had previously went on a dress journey to Pronovias that had me falling in love with their Siliba dress. I loved how fitted it was but was concerned about walking (or waddling) up a hill to get married in the park.
I wasn’t prepared (no hair, spanx, strapless bra or heels), like I was the first time, but I still fell in love with another Spanish Lace dress.
The Dress is La Sposa -Mulhacen. In case you didn’t already know: Pronovias owns both La Sposa and St. Patrick so it was the same materials and quality…and price point. I love that it is more A-Line then Mermaid and that the skirt is a bit bigger without drowning me in tulle. I could actually pick up the skirt of the dress to walk and got all the layers.
It seems that since we changed venues from one part of the park to another because we took a realistic view of the guest list, I felt I needed a fuller skirt to make up for the bigger space.
I think it is just as nice as the Siliba. I tried it on in Ivory but I would want it in white or whichever shade matches my mom’s veil.
I tired it on, without my hair done, in a tank-top, not wearing the appropriate undies, bloated from my lady time and STILL LOOKED HOT in a size 8!
Can’t wait until I get pictures of me done up in it.
Here she is
Btw – And I look better then the model. For real.
SO LADIES: Just from looking at the model picture…which do you like the most?

Post the photos of you in these dresses! 🙂

@Sapphire-Dreamer: these dresses are super similar IMO. I feel like anne hathaway in “the devil wears prada” with those turqouise belts.
The thing is, they are both beautiful and I think it just depends what shape looks best on your body because the other elements of the dress are quite similar. I would suggest adding a sweetheart neckline if you are going to go with the dress on the right. It’s always more flattering than a straight neckline. Based only on the model photo and the tone of your post, I say go with the one on the right. You sound more excited about that one and how it fit your shape, And in general I prefer the shape of the one on the right rather than the one on the left.

@blessings: I only have a pick of me in the Silaba. I wasn’t prepared this time so I don’t have a pic of me in the Mulhacen. But here is the stock photo.

@stardustintheeyes: Thank you. I like the one on the right a lot too. I wish I would have taken a picture but it was a small local botique, I was in a bit of a rush cause it was my lunch hour and the lady was already really nice so I didn’t want to ask HER to take a picture of me in it.

They really are both so similar, I guess it’s down the the little touches that make the difference. Your gut will tell you which one to choose.
On SYTTD they say which one would you be most heartbroken over if you left it and someone else came and bought it. That usually helps.
I can’t wait to see a picture of you in the second one. Go back and ask her. When I went dress shopping one day by myself, I had the consultant take the pics and then sent them to my sister across the country to give her opinion so it was like she was there.

@Sapphire-Dreamer: I like Mulhacen, mostly because it doesnt alrady have the blingy belt so it lets you add whatever accessories you want (or dont want). Otherwise they are very similar dresses and both gorgeous!
