If you do end up buying a pre-owned one (used or not), I would try http://www.preownedweddingdress.com.  It is a pretty cool site. I actually sold the first dress I bought there after I changed my mind on it.

@EmmiJeanne:  That is a pretty good size.  It actually took me about 5-6 months to sell my dress.  I ended up losing a lot of money on it.  I purchased it for $850 and didn’t sell it until I discounted it to $380.   You have a very high chacne of losing money on it, so please prepare for that.

I am assuming the company you purchased from has a no exchange policy?

@EmmiJeanne:  I bought a new dress at David’s Bridal, then decided I wanted a different dress and purchased a used one from preownedweddingdresses.com. So, I can say that I know that site is legit and that people use it! I’m trying to sell my new Galina now and it hasn’t been easy. There is already the same dress, same size, new with tags on preownedweddingdresses.com, so I could list it there and just list it for less, but I’m already losing money on it listing it for what I have been on other sites. I think it’ll be easier for you because the size is common. The size of the dress I’m selling is a really small size and isn’t very common. Good luck!

@EmmiJeanne:  I bought two dresses after having huge dress regret. I am in the process of selling my first dress. I am so pleased that I bought my second dress, a huge feeling of relief.

I would say though, wait until your dress arrives because you might fall in love with it again.

@EmmiJeanne:  I bought my second dress from a different shop. I was a bit embarrassed to say anything at first when I started looking again but all but one of the shops I went in to try on were really helpful. They completely understood where I was coming from and didn’t try to pressure me into anything.

No amount of advice will change how you really feel about it. I couldn’t sleep with worry about my first dress so I knew I was making the right decision buying another.
