My advice would be to change the size. Taking it in is so much easier than the other way around. Why take the risk and you don’t want to run out of time (not sure when your wedding is).

I would say change the size but also maybe post a pic so we know what shape the dress is. Also moreso than bust or hips, it’s easiest to lose inches from the midsection.

Gorgeous! I see now why u weren’t planning on losing weight- you are very slim already!! Now that I see the dress and understand the measurement, I really think you will be fine in the 6. I had a similar style dress, the size they ordered for me was supposedly 1″ too small on the hips but when it came in it was fine. Also they could’ve let out the hips a little bit if necessary. I actually ended up losing weight and wishing I had originally ordered a size down because with all the alterations, it took a while to make the sweetheart neckline look correct (it was way too big in the top to start).

    i say keep the 6.

my waist measured a size larger than the rest of my measurements, but I tried on a sample that fit me very well, and I ultimately ordered that size.  It was a size smaller than they recommended, based on my larger waist measurement, but I knew the sample fit well.  Go with the smaller size, I think it will make your waist look smaller, the way a corset does.

You’ll absolutly fit an inch is not a big squeze especially on the waist.  You can change the size if you would like but I think drinking eight cups of water for two days will get you down to a perfect fit.  That being said if you have alterations get the size up you’ll appreciate the extra fabric.
