I want your opinions on what I should do for my alterations. I know it needs to be taken in a bit in the bodice because the corset back is completely closed from about the mid-back down. But otherwise, what would you do to this dress?

you look great! I would add a thicker sash around the waist to define it, I feel like what is on there now isn’t as flattering.

This is a beautiful dress and gives you a lovely shape. You could tuck the corset ribbons down inside the back of the skirt after making a double knot ( not a bow). The second photo shows a noticeable line about 6 inches below the belt. Are you wearing a white bustier or other type of undergarment? Maybe the lining of the skirt is made from a different fabric than the bodice. You might want to check with your seamstress to see if she has any suggestions–maybe just a white slip would help disguise the difference. Hope this is of some use to you. Wishing you all the best with your plans.
