Hi Bees! I need your opinions :o)
We’re getting married on the beach in Florida, so it’s going to be hot. I wanted a VERY simple and light wedding dress (no train or beading), so I chose this one from David’s Bridal. I’m worried about the dress falling down all night, so I’m thinking of adding straps. I talked to my tailor, and she gave me the option of simple spaghetti straps, criss-cross straps (see below), or lace cap sleeves.
This is very similar to the criss-cross design she suggested. I think it looks really cool, but is it too “sexy” or “busy” for a wedding dress?
I’m also worried that although lace cap sleeves may look more elegent, it would be too much for such a simple dress.
What do you guys think? Thanks!!!

AppleRat: I really like the criss cross! I think the dress is so simple it would add a little unexspected twist! the dress is beautiful!!

I love the criss-cross straps. It gives a bit of intrigue to a simple, elegant dress!

i would go with the lace cap sleeves.

I like the criss-cross or thicker spaghetti (maybe something that tapers). My worry about the lace is that it might get itchy in the heat??

The criss-cross would look great! Lace may not be as breathable, even though it is sheer, especially in high humidity heat.

Personally I find the criss-cross straps a bit dated and not romantic enough for a wedding gown. I think lace or tulle cap sleeves would be lovely, or otherwise go without. If your dress is fitted properly, you shouldn’t have a problem with it falling down.
