I can’t decide between these 2 dresses. Dress #1 costs $1000 less than dress #2 and seems a lot lighter; I think it would be easier to dance in and I don’t want a second reception dress. I think the beading on dress #1 might be too much though and I don’t really like the sequins. Dress #2 feels really heavy but it’s also a lot bigger on me than dress #1 is. Thanks!
Dress #1 Maggie Sottero Janelle
Dress #2 Watters Olina

Do you have any pics of you in the dress? What is your body type? Did you try both on?

I like the beading better on the Maggie.

Dress 1 looks a lot more flattering on you in that photo.

Personally I don’t like the beading on the Maggie at all; there isn’t anything special about it. I love the Watters gown because the beading looks much more intricate and richer. I think once you try on the Watters gown in the right size it’ll look much better.

baa3193: Do you have pictures where we can see the full length of the gown? I think the beading on the Watters gown b/c it looks more unique. However, I think it’s hard to assess without seeing the entire dress on you.

baa3193: I love #1 and am surprised it costs less than #2. theres something about the beading on the second dress that just makes it look dirty at first glance. JMO though :).

Hi! I think the Watters is gorgeous! The lighting in your second pic doesn’t do it justice and I would redo the poll with full size pics. The Maggie is plain fabric whereas the Watters has silver embroidery and full lace! The full lace and beading together make the dress much more pricey than the Maggie. IMO, the dress is MUCH more expensive looking 🙂 I am very biased since I ordered Olina in size 2 (34/26/36) but have had a change of heart and bought a princess pouf dress. If you’re interested I’ve listed it on preownedweddingdresses.com and tradesy.com where you can see some other pics 🙂 good luck choosing!!!!

I don’t think my first post went through 🙁 if it did sorry for the double post!
I vote Watters! Your pic is not doing the dress justice! The beading and embroidery are much higher quality and the full lace of the watters makes it much more expensive and “couture”! (The maggie has plain fabric underneath the beading which cheapens the look IMO) I’m very biased since I bought this dress. If price is the only issue I’m selling it brand new, unaltered… http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/dresses/114633/Watters-Olina-5014-Size-2.html. I am debating whether or not to wear this as my second dress but have another poufy dress that I will definitely wear so as of now it is completely new. Good luck choosing 🙂

Also, I noticed in trying on over 200 dresses- no joke!- that the watters beading photographs VERY well! I can see in your photos that the Maggie stomach area is less forgiving than the Watters. Just a thought!

I voted for the Maggie but after seeing the link that knarffy provided, I really like the Watter gown much more.
