I’m working on finding a dress, which has been a bit of a stressful process! I could use some help in deciding if any of these are worth pursuing – none of them jumped out at me per se, but there were aspects I liked. I’d love to get some objective opinions. Thanks in advance!
Dress 1 – high/lo
Dress 2 – simple halter
Dress 3 (would order in ivory, not blue!)
Dress 4 (two photos of same dress – neither photo came out great unfortunately)
Dress 5 (illusion top)
Any thoughts? I don’t want a train, so the ones that have trains would have the train chopped off; and I don’t think I want strapless, so I’d be adding straps/cap sleeves to the strapless ones. At least I think so – who knows?
Thanks for your help!!

I actually love dress #3, but none of them wowed me

4 is my favourite but none are wowing me, so I voted to keep looking.

I love #3, and also 4! I used AA for bridesmaid dresses in my wedding, and my SIL wore #3… her seamstress converted the halter to regular straps and it looked great that way, too.

I think out of these pictures 4 is the best, but i think you should keep looking because none of them really jumped out with the WOW effect

I actually really like number 4. Second would be number 3.
But if you arent in love with any of them, then keep looking.

Thanks, everyone! I went in there specifically to try on Dress 1, and it ended up being the one I liked the least in person (besides the ones that were so awful I didn’t bother with a photo). I liked 3 and 4 the best … which is funny because 4 is nothing I would have picked out myself, but when I put it on it was really comfortable and I felt good in it.
That said, I didn’t have a wow moment and now I’m worried that maybe I’m just not suited for a bridal look. This is my second shopping attempt and the first try was even less successful. It is a little disheartening.

Since you have time, and said #4 isn’t what you had in mind, I voted to keep looking. I think you look terrific in #4 though!

None of them really wowed me, so I voted to keep looking. Perhaps try something with a little beadwork or sparkle?

@VanillaCoke: I think the halter is so so flattering! I love that style on you. What is your venue like/what look are you going for?

I agree with the others, none are really WOW and I think you feel the same way so you should keep looking because you want a dress that you’re gonna LOVE

@kestane: Thank you! I wear a lot of halters in my regular life so I thought it was worth trying 🙂
My venue is an art museum (a small cozy one). Overall look? I really don’t know! I’m older (40) and thus I feel really silly in a sparkly ballgown. I want a dress I can dance and move in and that doesn’t weigh 500 pounds. Not fluffy or big or fussy, which eliminates many of the dresses at AA and other places.

I like the fourth one! very flattering

@VanillaCoke: I’m a halter girl too 🙂 I can picture all of those styles “fitting” your venue- and none of them I would consider fussy or over-the-top. Whichever one is most comfortable for dancing the night away!
