How important is it to clean and steam your dress before the big day? My dress is lace so I dont’ think the wrinkles are THAT noticable like it would be for a satin dress.
We are taking photos at a few locations before the actual wedding, so I feel like the dress is going to get wrinkled ANYWAYS, so will the cleaning and steaming will be a waste of money?
I’m skipping all of the “getting ready” photos and skipping the dress hanging picture, mainly because I am having a morning wedding, so it will be extremely hectic at that time, and we are meeting the actual photographer after we are all ready.
Plus, if I do get it cleaned, I’m picking up the dress, then travelling quite a distance to the hotel, and my dress has a long train which I feel is going to get wrinkled anyways in the bag.
Am I just making up excuses not to clean and steam the dress, or do you bees think it’s logical that I just take care of preserving the dress afterwards, but not really worry about steaming the dress beforehand?
Thanks so much!
