What about it do you find unflattering?
I def agree...pics of you in it would help!
It's really pretty, especially the top! Why do you feel so bad about it now? Not to sound rude but have you gained weight and you feel uncomfortable? Did you find another you like better? I think it's lovely and it sounds like you just have wedding jitters with your dress!
How did you feel when you first bought it? I think you should try it on with the veil and everything and maybe that'll make you feel better. Is there anything you can have done to it?
Just relax and don't fret! I think it's gorgeous!! Do you have some pics of you in it, I'd love to see them!! *hugs*
Pictures of the dress, I can't quite pinpoint what I don't like. I just feel like it is not flattering on my body, particularly in the hip area.

That looks great on you! Omg, I wish my torso was so thin! Jeesh :)
If you're totally not in love with it though, you can't force it. Take a little time and figure out what you really want to do. You might have time to get another dress if you have the means to do so. It will be tough though, with wedding gowns taking so long to come in.
And the straps look a bit more awkward than the sample I tried on almost like they enlarge my already bigger shoulders which I was trying to hide with a non strapless dress
Maybe, if you don't want to just get another dress, you can take this dress to a really good seamstress. They may be able to do some stuff to it to make it more like what you want...? I have no idea if its possible but I'd try.
I think the dress accentuates your gorgeous hourglass shape! Definitely don't worry about the hip region :) On the neckline, have you tried it on with the bra you'll be wearing on the day of your wedding? It looks like you're wearing an everyday bra in your pictures. Your girls will sit differently in a a low back, corset type bra or in bra cups sewn into the dress, which will cause the dress to lay differently. I have broad shoulders too, so I totally know where you're coming from, and I honestly don't think your shoulders look big in your pictures.
Dress regret is pretty common, but girl, you look great in this dress!
I agree that the top looks a bit higher on you than the model. Maybe just adding a little sweetheart neckline will lower it. The dress fits great and is really pretty!
personally I think it looks great on your hips! I think you'll look gorgeous in it.....have you tried going back to the salon and trying it on again? To see if your still regretting?
I think it looks beautiful on you! If you are uncomfortable, talk with a seamstress. Tell her what you don't like, and she might have some options!
The hips look great. I might change the neckline a little. But overall, I think it looks beautiful on you.
That dress looks fantastic on you! I might consider adjusting it so it's a sweetheart neckline as someone else suggested, but I think it's perfect as is.
It looks really fab on you, fits perfectly!!! - don't have any regrets! Maybe the sweetheart design will add more detail to the dress or even some sort of detailed just below the bust?
Like the dress below. Maybe you just want more detail on it?

I agree that the dress looks great but the straps are a little awkward...Personally, if it were me, I would have them changed to a sweetheart neckline but even just some small alterations can make the neckline/straps more flattering...Have you brought it to a tailor yet?
I think the hips and waist look perfect-- the only thing I'd change, if you're concerned about it widening your shoulders (I don't see what you're talking about, BTW :) ), would be to change it from a more rounded neckline to a sweetheart. So I'd have the seamstress alter it so that that sheer overlay follows the line of the sweetheart shape of the layer underneath, instead of rounding it off.
Thanks everyone for such great ideas. Does anyone have experience in alterations and know if you can take a neckline like this and make it into a sweetheart or something similar? I guess I'm just looking at it and seeing a scoop neck that reminds me of a beach tank top and can't see past that and imagine being able to turn it into something more flattering.
I did a little research and I think I would be more comfortable with a neckline like this one....I just don't see how it's possible and being in a small town with no big cities close by the choice for alterations is limited.

I think it looks amazing on you! If your are worried about the straps, but don't want to go strapless, you could have a seamstress make the straps into more of a spagetti type strap. i love it though!
I actually LOVE the neckline but think that it might be a little high. It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to have a seamstress lower it so it looks more natural and not like you're all covered up and matronly. I love the neckline as the scoop, it's what makes the top so beautiful and looks lovely with the straps and the back.
I wanted my original gown altered to more of a sweetheart neckline and yes those seamstresses can do anything! I think it would look great on your dress! I think your dress is beautiful girl....maybe you could try a fuller crinoline slip underneath to accentuate your small waist more? Gosh I just think you need to keep that dress, it's so unique yet has all the elements I love, a drop waist, fuller skirt, gorgeous straps/sleeves with beading! Love it!
It is beautiful the way it huggs your waist!
I would definately speak to a seamstress. Explain what you would like and they will give you options.
I think it's gorgeous!! I think it could very easily be changed to sweetheart neck if you wanted. It looks like the actual dress form underneith is already sweetheart. I'd say if you think that will make the dress you should definatly give it a try! Or I'd leave it be; I love it on you!
I think that you look great in that dress! The only change that I would make is change the neckline to sweetheart.
I think the way the dress makes your hips look is WONDERFUL. Maybe your upper body needs a different bra. I wouldn't change it into a sweetheart neck because it will look worse on you IMHO.

I purchased this dress because I fell in love with it, now a year later I feel like it's unflattering and looks terrible and as the day draws closer I don't know what to do.
