Since my first try on in Feb I’ve been have just a bit of unease about my dress (Allure 8634) I ordered it very hastily- (first I tried on and only tried on 4 or 5 total.) I should have gotten it in the gold or champagne color like the sample, but for some reason my Mom and sister convinced me that Ivory was best. (though they deny it now of course.)
When my actual dress arrived I found it way too white, the rhinestone belt looked tacky and I was kind of underwhelmed. But- i figured it was just different and that in time it would be OK.
Well here we are 6 weeks away and the dress just still doesn’t feel quite right.
Please look at these pics and help. The first is my try on. I loved it then. A bigger (stretched out) size, better color for my skin, and the belt looks antique and subtle.
Next picture is at my first fitting. I am miserable. I feel like I have a belly, the boob area looks saggy and unspoorted, and the sewing up of the boobs isn’t helping.
Here is two days later. I went in with the WRONG corset bra wondering what some support and a different belt would do. I like the fit, but obviously the bra shows. Not sure about that belt…too pink maybe?
So- in 2 weeks- due to stress and dieting I lost 5 lbs, went to an expensive bra store and bought shapewear and a deep back corset. It worked OK, but I felt like I couldn’t breathe will all the tightness and extra padding. So this picture is bra free again..hopefully at my 2nd fitting this week they can figure out something to do so it’s not an issue.
What do you think? I know that these are all phone pics and that when I was there I think it looked better than it does. (the lighting at this place is awful.) But my boobs look humungous and I don’t feel like they look that big in real life. (32DD but I’m 5’9)
Anyway. Please let me know what I can do, should do, what you think. Honestly is best right now. If I need to sell this dress and just get a new one- I wil
PS- planning as of now to wear a thick raw satin sash in champagne instead of the rhinestones…
