I love both of them. Buying a pre-loved dress is actually not a bad idea at all! I really believe that a bride should feel comfortable and beautiful on her big day so don’t feel bad about having dress regret. You have to do what makes you happy!

I haven’t bought my dress yet so I don’t have regret but the second dress is gorgeous!! If you’re self conscious in the first one it may be worth it to buy a new one. 🙂

Doh! Buying a dress two years before the wedding almost never works.

I hate to say it but the second dress is so much better than the first one.

I had the same issue, bought a dress WAY in advance and soon fell in love with another one. I went with my gut and bought the second one (luckily the store hadn’t placed the order yet and I was able to change it). You want to feel comfortable and beautiful on your wedding day, and if your first dress isn’t doing that for you, I say buy a new one!

For the record, I’ve tried on the Jillian and it’s beautiful. It sparkles. 🙂

I bought and sold 4 dresses before my wedding! The only one I lost $ on was the first one, because it was overpriced a the place I bought it from. Plus after the wedding, I sold my actual wedding gown for what I paid for it. In the end, the $ I lost on the first dress was the total amount I paid for my gown. 🙂

It’s easy to do. Much easier with tags attached and no alterations btw. I agree with you about the shape as well. I’m an hourglass and my gown was very close to the shape of the first one and I don’t like it in pictures. I look wide. I wish I had gone with something more forgiving like your second dress.

Maybe you could have the first one altered so it has a deeper sweetheart neckline and have some beading added (or sew them on yourself. It is easy), then buy a belt that looks like the second dress’ belt.

They they would look really similar. Looking twice, I wouldn’t buy the second dress since the one you have is so close. I would do those alterations I mentioned and you’d end up with the same result. (Also, the second model is better looking than the first so that may be distracting you from how similar they really are).

I actually like your first dress A LOT better! It’s classic and realllllly gorgeous!! The second dress I’ve seen a million times.

WeddingBelle890:  Totally! I have 40″ hips and It took me a long time to come to terms with how wide I looked in my dress once I got my pictures back. I kind of hate it still.  I wore the maggie Sottero Elya.

WeddingBelle890:  preownedweddingdresses.com has the dress you want in size 10 for $85. Might help 🙂
