@NYbride123:  both are pretty but I agree the 2nd one is a little more interesting…

You have to go try it on though and see how you feel about it and how it looks on you.

@NYbride123:  Both are GORGEOUS! My initial thought is that the Primrose looks like a wedding dress, where the Tarik Ediz looks more formal/Oscars-style.

You ran across some of the problems we had.  My daughter was in a gorgeous gown, but we all agreed it was “red carpet” and not bridal.

Another problem was that some of the gowns sacrificed one option for another; for example, that back is gorgeous, but the front is bland.  I reminded her:  ppl want to see the bride smiling all day, not her back and her ass.  Leave that for the Pippa watchers.

We happened upon the perfect gown cuz she kept looking.  A gown that hit on all cylingers, one that she checked off all the criteria she wanted.

@NYbride123:  if you want to be completely over the top, get the other dress as a ‘third dress’ for going out on the town after the reception. The dress you currently have looks like it’s going to get hot in, after hours of dancing.

I prefer the dress you already have. The second one doesn’t really say “wedding” to me, and it also looks like it would show every possible tiny flaw a person might have.

I assume you will be dancing at the reception. I would not go with the primrose because mermaids are notoriously difficult to move in and I imagine it would cramp your dance style quite a bit. I tried on several tight mermaids over the summer and I found them the be quite hot. The Tarik does look a bit easier to move in, but only you know if it is bridal enough for you and if the gorgeous back makes up for the plainer front.

I like the Primrose better, although I agree that the second one is more unusual/unique. It is definitely one that you would need to try on though, to see how it looks–there are many dresses that I love on the model but hate on my body, and sometimes vice versa. I say try it on just for peace of mind–and if you do like it, take pics and post here again. =)
