Sorry for the huge pics I dont know how to resize...
Welcome to the Bee! I love your dress. The detailing on it is beautiful! Maybe the reason why you're having doubts is because it's not hemmed and therefore you're not getting the whole picture? When it's the right length it will do it proper justice.
Also, I am in the same boat trying to figure out whether I should bustle my train or cut it short as I didn't want one to begin with so I am curious as to other people's opinions, too!
It is a gorgeous dress and I doubt anyone would be looking at the seams :) the fact that you fell in love with it at first sight and didn't wanna take it off indicates that it is the dress for you, btw it gives you a great shape too (hope that doesn't sound too weird haha)
I think it is a gorgeous dress! You have a great figure and it suits you well! I think so many of us get that whole "dress regret" thing before the alterations are done. It will make you feel completely different about it once it is the correct length. I know I did the whole "second guessing" thing myself after I brought my dress home but before I had it altered. I fell in love with it all over again once it was pinned on me correctly! I LOVE the back of the dress too! If you take it to a seamstress, they can likely bustle it in several different ways. That way you have options as to what the bustle looks like (I had no idea there were so many bustle types before I went dress shopping!)
You are a beautiful girl and that is a wonderful dress. You picked a great dress for your figure. Once it is altered I am sure you will fall in love all over again. :)
I actually LOVE it. It gives you a great shape and looks soft and flowy. I'm a huge fan of sweetheart necklines though, that's the only thing that * I * would change, but that's a minor detail :)
Where are the seams that are bothering you?
Thanks everyone. The wedding is not until Feb 2013!! I dont know if I can wait that long to get is altered now. I really want to love it again!! I am sure when I have shoes and and it hemmed I will feel much better about it. Fingers crossed
I think it looks beautiful on you! THe flowy-ness is just to die for! Just wait untill you take it to a seamstress so she can work her magic!
The flowy-ness is what I loved about it. It is whimisical garden while still being a bit princessey. I think I need to stop looking at other wedding dresses and love mine again.....

Hi Bees,
I am new here (and very excited to be part of a community like this
)and am in some need of some honest opinions of my dress. I know we seem to pick a tiny detail that is not perfect and obsess over it. I do this to the extreme.
I have bought my dress. It was a sample I found in a small store and I got it for approx 75% off. It was love at first site. I did not want to take it off - I think I stood there for about 45 minutes.... My MOH convinced me to buy it ( I was a bit concened about buying something when the wedding was so far away) even though it is a bit snug around the waist.
I have been storing it at FMIL house and have not really looked at it since purchasing it. My mum called and wanted photos sent to her (she live on the other side of the country) so I pulled it out and we took the below pictures. There is 2 seams in the top orqanza layer that are really bothereing me. I did not see them in the store...
Also you can see that it needs hemming. I am quite short... I have no idea what to do with the train. We are having a park / garden wedding and an outdoor reception in country. Do you think I could put a bustle in it that actually looked good or would I be better shortening the train and having a hook thing on my wrist to pick it up?
Basically I dont know it I love it as much as I did in the store. These are the types of things I would take to FI for him to convince me I have made the right choice and to calm me down but I cant show him this........ So indecision is killing me
