Hi bees, So i’m having a little dress regret.. I keep giving it time, but the more and more I look at wedding photos i really wish I would have gotten a dress with a sash! My dress is the Mori Lee 1965.. I am able to take off the flowers on the side.. What do you think? Would this dress look okay with a sash? Or better as is?

Hi fellow Mori Lee bride!! Personally, I am not a flower person, but I think they look really great on the dress! The bust line of the dress is so beautiful that I think adding a sash might detract from it.

Can you post a picture of the dress on you? It’s hard to give an opinion without it.

For reference, is this your dress? If so, I think it is beautiful as is. The skirt is kind of busy with the rosettes, so it might be too much to add a sash, IMO. The flowers on the side kind of blend in to the skirt, I wouldn’t have noticed them at a glance, if you hadn’t said anything about them in your OP.

Hi!!!! Dress twin and I too have dress regret 🙁 I’m trying to just suck it up and hope I feel differently the day of!! I’m also back and forth on whether or not to leave those side flowers on, but if I remove them I wouldn’t add a sash (I love sashes the dress feel busy enough as it is). Not much to add or any advice, just commiserating!!! Hope everything works out and you fall back in love with the dress!

You are so lucky to have this dress. This was my #2 choice if I couldnt have been a Maggie Bride. I think if you remove the flowers the torso will be missing a bit of something. But with the business of the skirt, plus the shimmer of the bust, there is a less is more factor you may have to consider.
Do you want the sash for the sake of having a sash or do you want a little more colour in your dress? If you wat colour then maybe try a broche or embelishment of colour or one simple coloured flower.
I guess it all depends on what you want the sash to do for you.
That’s my bit.
