Honestly, it looks great on you! it flatters your figure really well, and definitely looks romantic.

My only thought would be to wear some shapewear or something so it smooths everything under the dress. (In the pics it looks like regular undies where you can see the indent lines in your skin). 🙂

Good lord that dress is SO gorgeous. The sash is so flattering! Stop looking at photos and second guessing yourself!!! The fact is, there is no dress soul mate- there are probably 10 that would be perfect for you! If you love it initially, remember that feeling and go with it!

The Tracey is gorgeous, and you look gorgeous in it. I’m a bigger girl, and what I found bothered me about the tracey was that it didn’t floof enough outand my hips looked wide in it. (FTR, I don’t think your hips looks wide at all, I’m relaying wat my issue was) I found I needed more floof in the skirt to balance it out. I ended up with Veronica, which is like.. 98% idential to the tracey. Maybe try a crinoline underneath it, and don’t forget that once it’s fitted it looks a lot different. Once the dress is fitted to you and it sits properly I mean, my God.

I think this dress is amazing! I also agree with PPs – invest in some shapewear (I know I plan to!) and you’ll feel a lot better.  I had the same reactions when I tried on a similar dress  with the same cut- I felt huge and wide despite everyone telling me i wasn’t.  Truth is, you look fabulous.  However, coming from somene who’s weight fluctuates and who has an hourglass shape, you might not feel better in any dress until your weight is where you want it to be.  I know that’s how I’m feeling now.  I say go with it- get serious about your weight loss (you really don’t have much to lose!) and get the shapewear.  You’ll feel amazing and look drop dead gorgeous afterwards!

@DGB38:  Yes. mermaid/ trumpet dresses like that I find need a bit of foof. A crinoline will def help. Also, one the waist it taken in and it’s corseted properly, it will accentuate your curves. Before mine was fitted properly *and it took like 5 attempts* i had pulling across the hips and stomach, uniboob, ugh. Once it’s your actual dress and fitted it’s way different. I also wore some shapwear under mine just to keep things in check.

I think it’s ver romantic. I would chose that light etherial lace look over say, heavy satin or taffeta, which I associate more with a formal or winter wedding.

The only *well intended* criticism I have is of the veil. I don’t personally care for the edge on it. But that being said, it’s only my opinion. Sorry!

I think it looks gorgeous on you! To echo the other posters, shapewear can do wonders so invest in some of that if you think it would help you feel more comfortable.

It is BEAUTIFUL! The waist looks a little bit loose so maybe it could be made to be a bit tighter? You could have the alterations done few weeks before the wedding if you’re  going to loose weight. I’m sure it will look PERFECT on your wedding day!!!

i think you’re WAY over thinking it. If you think it’s beautiful, go with it! It’s an absolutely stunning dress, and it looks great! If it made you feel beautiful then that what matters, not whether it goes with your wedding venue or how much lace is on it. Relax girl, you found your dress! (In my opinion, anyways lol)
