if you don't like it, get something you like! i would suggest you look for a local seamstress, just in case instead of risking buying another dress you don't like since you haven't tried them on. i lived in China for a while and there were a lot of wellmade dresses (and crazy ones too of course!)
If you are having a small and simple dress I would stick with the one you already bought. Or return it and wait a while... go try on dress B and see if you still like it.. Do not keep shopping after you have already purchased becuase you'll always end up disappointed.
If you really like the second dress then go for it! You can always try to sell the first dress and recoup your money that way. Best of luck :)
I love your dress. I have a chiffon train as well. The dress is soo elegant and you can really glam it up w/ accessories.
It really depends on whether you can afford the $400 if you have to return it. If you already know you're not in love with the first dress, I think it will just weigh on you more as time goes on.
this is so difficult, you will always be able to find some other dress that you think you will like more or love in a picture. but i would say that it is best to sit tight right now. unless you can afford to lose $400 without blinking, then go for it, but i am guessing that since you are asking for opinions and support, that the situation may not be so black and white...
Okay wait, you live in Taiwan! Don't they have like a bagillion rental dresses in their wedding distrcit that you don't even have to purchase? :P
Okay, all kidding aside, I LOVE the dress with the lace bodice. It's so beautiful, and in my opinion, a lot more so than the dress you do have. I say go for the new dress!
I usuallly really encourage other brides to keep their original dress, but in this case I love the second one you've picked. Maybe if I saw the first one on you instead of the pictue you posted, which doesn't look like it fits her really well, it would be a different story. But, go with your gut, only if you can afford to lose the $400!
Thank you all for the replies and suggestions.
It's true that most brides in Taiwan rent dresses for their weddings, but those rental stores have their own obsurd rules that you cannot try on any gowns unless you put down a deposit (if you decide not to rent from them, then you'll lose it). Also, their prices are outragious, the range varies from US$ 1,500 to US$3,000 (because you can't rent the ceremony gown alone, it is compulsory that you have to rent unless 2 other reception gowns and use their own photographer).
So ... my fiance and I dismissed the idea of renting dresses, and started the dress-hunt online. We looked through dozens of dress pics on the internet, although the second dress is the one I wanted to have, I bought the one my fiance wanted me to wear (but I was lucky, cause the Reem Acra dress is a sample).
I'm really torn... but I really rather having dress regret now than after the wedding. I made an insane offer on the second dress today...and will see how it go tomorrow.

Hi everyone~
This is my first post on the weddingbee, but I really really need your help~~
My Fiance and I wish to have a small and simple wedding, so I bought a very simple style Reem Acra dress from Bride Power 2 weeks ago (pics below).
My fiance love the dress, and I like it, but...I don't know...as I try it on, I just didn't feel that this is the one.........and I really love the dress which has lace bodice like the dress below:
I am living in Taiwan at the moment and most of the stores do not have US designer wedding dresses, so I don't have any chance to try it on...
What should I do? Should I just stick with the dress I have or order the second dress to try it on (I will lose US$400 if I return it) ?
